Enchantment

This book by Guy Kawasaki was enchanting  , it is the new  'How to win friends & influence people' for the digital world including tips and advices like how to use Facebook and twitter to enchant people. The book is well written, amusing and useful. As Kawasaki writes," You want to change the world? Change caterpillars into butterflies? This takes more than run-of-the mill relationships. You need to convince people to dream the same dream that you do "I am doing my best to be both enchanted and enchanting as a result of reading this book.

Rebirth

Rebirth is a nice exhibition of painting and media held in Beirut Exhibition Center, The exhibition features 49 Lebanese artists of all ages, half of them women, living in Lebanon or abroad what I like the most is Flavia’s work  eclosion “The subject is lying on barren ground, motionless void of all signs of life. Suddenly, a thought, a revelation, an aim, appears, and life flourishes once again through her, like the miracle of the blossoming desert after the rain” Flavia Codsi Very nice exhevition don’t miss it

Mobil Ad

Like all  the billboards on the Lebanese roads are not enough, this company  is sending like 20 cars everyday from jounieh to Beirut and from Beirut to jounieh 20Km/H to promote a service, because we don’t have much traffic so they want to fill that gap apparently... Another point I should add to my last post "why I need a train "

Iconic Icon

I found some old floppy disks in my box ...The floppy disk is dead and I can't use it anymore but i will keep it of course for the memories...
Microsoft is keeping it alive you have to click on that icon every time you have to save your document. The new generation might not even know what a disk is ...maybe they will never click it. They are so tech savvy and  CTRL +S is easier...

I Need A Train

Yesterday  when wandering  i saw this railroad and i was asking myself why we don't have a train in lebanon? cause if we had one:
  • I can read my books, reports ,e mails magazines etc..
  • Will never watch a zouzou eba show
  • Will never see the ugly billboards
  • Will never meet the occasional buyers on the roads
  • Will never visit any gas station
  • Will sleep two extra hours
  • Will stop explaining to everyone that  I am late because of the F*** traffic
  • Will never beg for a valet to park my car
  • Will never pay in the park meter every hour
  • Will  miss some makeup artists coloring their faces talking on the phone and driving
  • Will never race with the crazy truck and bus drivers
  • Will stop counting the wholes in the roads
  • Will never waist Two hours on the road because the engineer of the "city mall" bridge is really a GENIUS
  • Will never stress if a VIP car is behind me, in a hurry for a continental breakfast
La vie est plus belle if we had a train in Lebanon a REAL TRAIN...
I am sure I am missing some points here, you can add yours if you are driving in lebanon in the comment section :)

God [Heart] Social Media

Last week I received an SMS from the church informing me the death of a neighbor! I found it so weird to receive this SMS  from a religion community! I was curious to search if this church has a facebook or twitter account. I was surprised to find out many Lebanese church on facebook with huge number of followers!
Apparently the Lebanese church is embracing the modern world specifically social media to reconnect with followers and believers.
Who knows maybe soon Lebanese church will be using foursquare and every time you check in  you show your Smartphone to the priest, he will remove your sins :)
Religion and science is characterized by conflict from the examples above, it is clear that science/technology  and religion can have a constructive relationship .
What do you think everyone including religion should press the “Social Media” button?
